Warrior

In the 1830s, Wu Zhesheng, the founder of the Great China Rubber Factory, ran into a team carrying a dowry on the criss-crossing streets of Suzhou. He saw boxes, cupboards, basins, barrels, tables, and chairs posted with the "double coin " pattern cut out of red paper, he suggested to use double coin as a trademark. Everyone in the factory agreed: "double " is a word that people love to hear, "double " is a symbol of auspiciousness, and "coin " is a sign of prosperity. So the Double Coin trademark was decided.

"Warrior " originated from the trademark pattern "Warrior " (Warrior, Fighter) designed by Western techniques. At that time, Zhengtai Rubber Factory Manager Xue Mingsan translated it into the Chinese homophonic "Hui Li ", which implies the meaning of "returning power ". Refers to "the great power that can overcome difficulties. " This is consistent with the characteristics that enterprises need to possess, so entrepreneurs decided to adopt this innovative trademark pattern.

Pioneer in China tire industry Since the birth of China s first tire, Double Coin and Warrior have always been the pioneers of China s tire technology development at every stage, and its absolute technological leadership is recognized by the industry. The company adheres to the idea that market as orientation and product as carrier, aiming at the international advanced level, and with the help of the tire industry s first national technology center: the tire research institute, to increase scientific and technological innovation, research, develop, and master the new products, new processes, new materials and new equipments which have a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of the company, and to improve the core competitiveness of the company.
National enterprise technology center The company s wholly-owned R&D center Double Coin Group Shanghai Tire Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established in July 1993, formerly known as Shanghai Tire & Rubber (Group) Co., Ltd. Tire Research Institute. With a registered capital of 30 million yuan, it has the status of a corporate legal person. In November of the same year, it became one of the first batch of national enterprise technology centers recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission. The R&D center helped Double Coin Tire Group to obtain a technological innovation demonstration enterprise in China s chemical industry, and successively won several honors such as Shanghai Innovative Enterprise, Shanghai Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Base, and Shanghai Science and Technology Enterprise Innovation Award.
Digital research and development Double Coin is listed as a digital demonstration enterprise of Huayi Group. In recent years, the scientific research center has established Huayi scientific research portal management system, product lifecycle management system (PLM) and other scientific research information systems, combined with existing 3D design and digital simulation. The platform lays the foundation for digital research and development. In terms of tire finite element analysis technology, the Tire Research Institute has developed a numerical simulation platform for tire radial stiffness, longitudinal stiffness, lateral stiffness, and steady-state cornering stiffness. In-vehicle noise caused by tire cavity resonance when the vehicle is driving also greatly affects the vehicle s NVH. Through numerical simulation of the natural frequency of the tire, it provides reference data for the OEM.
Testing technology and capabilities Double Coin s professional tire testing center: Double Coin Group Shanghai Tire Research Institute Test Center has domestic first-class facilities and environment. Through the national CNAS laboratory accreditation, the laboratory s TBR and PCR rolling resistance tests have established a relationship with the European benchmark laboratory and obtained the certificate. The laboratory s TBR and PCR rolling resistance have obtained the qualifications of participating in the domestic network laboratory. It has considerable advantages in similar laboratories.
Whole series products In terms of technology, Double Coin relied on independent innovation, established a complete set of technical software with independent intellectual property rights, and improved research and development capabilities through introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation. Based on more than 90 years of development, the main products of Double Coin have changed from traditional bias tires to all-steel radial tires. Up to now, the company has six product series, including all-steel radial truck tire, light truck tire, off-the-road tire, industrial tire, winter tire and agricultural tire, with nearly 500 varieties.
Green tire products Double Coin Tire’s product is China’s first product to be certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay, representing China’s entry into the “green tires” field after the United States, France, Germany, Japan and South Korea. Since the company s first SmartWay certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2010, 10 patterns and a total of 70 specifications have been certified. At the same time, the company has 51 patterns that have passed EU noise, rolling resistance stage 2 and wet slip certification requirements, 10 patterns have passed EU snow certification, a total of 65 pattern products have passed EU ECE R117 certification, and a total of 430 product specifications have passed EU ECE R54 certification.
